Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our Services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. If you are using our Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Connekt provides an integrated suite of recruitment tools, including:

• Connekt CRM Platform — a web-based recruitment CRM for managing candidates, contacts, companies, jobs, placements, submissions, documents, and internal HR/leave workflows.
• Connekt Mobile App — an iOS and Android application providing access to your CRM data, notifications, meeting tools, and document capture on the go.
• Connekt Extension — a Chrome browser extension that extracts professional profile information from LinkedIn and syncs it into your CRM account.
• Connekt Notetaker — a Chrome browser extension and meeting bot that joins, records, transcribes, and summarizes video calls (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and saves the resulting notes to your CRM account.
• Communications Sync — tools that connect your LinkedIn messaging and email accounts (Gmail, Outlook) so conversations with candidates and contacts appear alongside their CRM records.
• Document Processing — resume and job-posting parsing, document generation, and e-signature/document-signing workflows.
• Data Import Tools — bulk import of candidates, contacts, companies, and job data from spreadsheets and files you upload.
• AI-Assisted Features — AI-generated meeting summaries, resume/job-data extraction, and in-app AI chat, as described in Section 7.

3. User Accounts and Registration

Account Creation

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Account Responsibilities

• Use the Services only for lawful business purposes.
• Maintain the security of your account and user login information.
• Ensure all users under your account comply with these Terms.
• Promptly update account information when it changes.

5. Browser Extension Terms

Connekt Extension (LinkedIn Data Extraction)

• Our extension extracts publicly viewable information from LinkedIn profiles you visit.
• You are solely responsible for complying with LinkedIn's Terms of Service when using the extension.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of extracted data.
• Extraction activities must comply with applicable data protection laws.

Connekt Notetaker (Meeting Recording and Transcription)

• Connekt Notetaker can capture audio and video from meetings on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, and Connekt can also join a Google Meet call directly as an automated participant to record it.
• You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required by law before recording a meeting, including notifying other participants that the call is being recorded and complying with call-recording and wiretapping laws in your and their jurisdiction (which may require one-party or all-party consent).
• Recordings are transcribed and summarized using third-party AI services described in Section 7; you are responsible for reviewing AI-generated summaries for accuracy before relying on them.

Installation and Updates

• Our extensions require installation through the Chrome Web Store.
• We may automatically update an extension to improve functionality and security.
• You may uninstall an extension at any time through Chrome's settings.

6. Mobile Application Terms

The Connekt Mobile App is distributed through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play and, in addition to these Terms, is subject to the applicable app store's usage terms.

• The app may request device permissions for camera, microphone, and photo library access to support profile photo capture, document scanning, and meeting recording features. You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.
• The app uses push notifications to alert you to CRM activity; you may disable these in your device settings.
• You may sign in using your Connekt credentials or Google Sign-In.

7. AI and Automated Features

Certain features rely on third-party artificial intelligence and speech-processing providers to function, including audio transcription, meeting summarization, resume and job-posting data extraction, and in-app AI chat. These providers are named, together with the safeguards that apply to them, in our Privacy Policy.

• AI-generated content (summaries, extracted fields, chat responses) may contain errors or omissions.
• You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it for business decisions.
• We do not permit our AI sub-processors to use your content to train their general-purpose models.

8. Third-Party Accounts You Connect

The Services let you connect third-party accounts — including LinkedIn, Google (Gmail, Calendar, Sign-In), Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams — to enable syncing, messaging, and meeting features. When you connect a third-party account:

• You remain subject to that third party's own terms of service and acceptable use policies.
• You authorize Connekt to access the specific data described in our Privacy Policy on your behalf.
• You may disconnect any third-party account at any time from your account settings.

9. Subscription and Billing

Payment Terms

• Services are provided on a subscription basis with various pricing tiers.
• All fees are charged in advance for the applicable subscription period.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details.
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all applicable fees.

Renewal and Refunds

Your subscription renews automatically for equivalent terms. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, but we may provide refunds at our sole discretion for certain circumstances.

10. Data Ownership and Privacy

• Your data: You retain ownership of all data you input into or extract using our Services.
• Our access: We may access your data as necessary to provide the Services and technical support.
• Compliance: You must comply with all applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA where relevant) when using our Services to process personal data of others.

Our full data practices are described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Termination by You

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• You remain responsible for all charges incurred before cancellation.

Termination by Us

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms.
• We may terminate the Services with 30 days' notice for business reasons.
• Upon termination, your access to the Services will cease.

Effect of Termination

• You may export your data for 30 days after termination.
• We will delete your data according to the retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
• Unpaid fees remain due after termination.

13. Intellectual Property

Our IP Rights

The Services, including software, designs, and content, are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Services as permitted by these Terms.

Your IP Rights

You retain all rights to your business data and content. You grant us a limited license to use your data solely to provide the Services.

14. Service Availability and Support

Uptime and Maintenance

• We strive to maintain high service availability.
• Scheduled maintenance may temporarily interrupt service.
• We will provide reasonable notice of planned maintenance.

Technical Support

• Support is provided via email and help documentation.
• Response times vary based on subscription level.
• Support is available for the current version of the Services.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email, a notice on our website, or an in-service notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

16. General Provisions

• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
• Dispute resolution: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including its existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and resolved by the courts of Singapore, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
